Testimonials
Martyn’s approach instantly put my son at ease, and he quickly established an interested but low-demand rapport that made him feel comfortable. Martyn has established a structure to the sessions that feels familiar and predictable, and works collaboratively with me to ensure the approach taken continues to suit my son.

Martyn has been working with our daughter since 25 September, when we started our home education journey, and we couldn’t be happier with his tutoring. Martyn has a wonderful talent for making learning fun (and not feel like learning), which has been crucial for our burnt-out Audhd girl. His understanding of neurodivergence and traits such as PDA is key to the relationship he has formed with her. She really looks forward to her time with Martyn (and Theo the Cocker Spaniel!) and it’s a delight to see her engaging in maths and English, growing in confidence and ability each week.

Martyn has been amazing with my 11-year-old autistic son. He’s such a calm, quiet presence and builds a bond slowly, with the help of the lovely Theo, putting my son at ease. It’s been so lovely to see him open up to Martyn, welcome him into our home, and get involved with the learning. Martyn and Theo have been the best choice I’ve made in our home education journey.

Martyn has been supporting our son on a 1:1 basis for many months now, and he absolutely loves his sessions with him. Our son is autistic, PDA, and ADHD, and finds more formal learning very challenging. Martyn has an incredible ability to meet him exactly where he is, whether that means keeping things low-demand and fun, or gently building on more structured learning when our son is ready. Everything is always done at our son’s pace, with no pressure, and that has made such a huge difference.
We are so impressed by the trust Martyn has built with our son, and with our family as a whole. Our son genuinely looks forward to Martyn coming each week, which speaks volumes. Martyn is extremely knowledgeable and experienced, and he always checks in with us to see how our son is doing and what he might need from his sessions. We feel very supported and reassured knowing how thoughtfully he approaches his work.
We are incredibly grateful for everything Martyn does and cannot recommend him highly enough. He is not only an exceptional professional, but also such a warm, kind, and understanding person. We highly recommend him to other families, especially those whose children need someone with great SEN understanding and experience.

Martyn tutors my home-educated autistic (PDA) 13-year-old son in English and maths. He totally understands my son’s needs and takes a suitable approach, adapting the learning around my son’s interests so he is always engaged. My son liked him instantly, and he has such a lovely, calm, gentle, and nurturing manner. Martyn has enabled my son to return to formal learning after being put off by a negative school experience, and my son looks forward to his sessions with him. We also enjoyed meeting his gorgeous dog, Theo, recently, who we hope to see again soon.
Martyn has been a godsend; we feel so lucky to have found him!

My daughter, who has autism, absolutely loves her sessions with Martyn. What I appreciate most is that he always takes the time to find the right approach tailored specifically to her needs. My daughter is very selective and generally doesn’t engage easily with others; however, she felt comfortable and confident with Martyn from the very first meeting. I can’t recommend Martyn highly enough.

I can’t recommend Martyn enough. I was unsure how my son would cope with someone he didn’t know coming to our house, but Martyn made my son feel at ease from day one. He looks forward to his time with Martyn every week, and it brings me peace of mind that my son is having some formal learning during our home schooling journey.
